Plays of the Year: Markus Wheaton’s Whirl Around Touchdown

Heading into Week 4’s primetime matchup with the Kansas Chiefs, many fans were skeptical that the Steelers were a solid team following their worst loss ever in the Mike Tomlin era.

However, the Steelers put a whooping on the Chiefs, capped off by today’s pick for our “Plays of the Year” series.

The Steelers went into halftime up 29-0 on the Chiefs and were set to receive the ball first to start the second half.

And they wouldn’t disappoint with their opening possession. Ben Roethlisberger and company chewed several minutes off of the clock before going for broke on this 3rd-and-4 from the Kansas City 30-yard line.

The 30-yard connection would put firmly put the Steelers up 36-0 with 11:19 left in the third quarter. Pittsburgh would go on to win 43-14.
