After Shaun Suisham was injured in the 2015 preseason (and forced to retire due to the injury) the Steelers scrambled through a pair of kickers before settling on Chris Boswell. Boswell may end up being more consistent than Suisham was for years, and has compensated for when an explosive offense has otherwise stalled.

“The Wizard of Boz” kicked six field goals in a game twice last season, accounting for most of Pittsburgh’s points in a regular-season win over their division opponent the Cincinnati Bengals and setting a postseason record with his leg leading the way in a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Steelers should expect more of the same from Boswell, who will enter camp without competition for a second-straight season. Pittsburgh did not sign another camp body to take kicks other than Boswell. Hopefully, they will never need anyone else!
