2017 Steelers Week 2 Offensive Play of the Game: Bryant’s back!

Steel City Underground will pick a play of the game from each side of the ball each week of the Steelers 2017 season. Stay tuned as we hand select the very best from the black and gold!

This was the moment we were all waiting for!

And boy, did it sure feel like FOREVER, but Martavis Bryant finally showed us what we thought the Steelers offense could look like this season when he ran a quick slant and connected with Ben Roethlisberger on this 27-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter of Sunday’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings.

The score was the first of the game, putting the Steelers up 7-0 after the point-after; they would never look back en route to a 26-9 victory.

The touchdown would be Bryant’s first since January 9th, 2016, which most fans may remember: it was the acrobatic, flipping reception in the back corner of the end zone in a wild card playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
