Bold Predictions For Sunday Night’s Steelers vs Ravens Match Up

After a wild win on Monday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Pittsburgh Steelers are in for another hard-fought battle this Sunday night.  The Steelers will face another conference rival as they return to Heinz Field for a match up with the Baltimore Ravens.  The last time these teams faced each other the Steelers cruised to victory, but anything can happen between these two teams.  With that being said, here are my bold predictions for this game.  As a newcomer at this, let’s hope these predictions are at least close!

Another Huge Game From Antonio Brown

AB has been enjoying quite an amazing season for the Steelers.  Coming off of an impressive performance against the Bengals with 8 receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown, I expect even more from him in this game.  Brown will likely be matched up with rookie corner Marlon Humphrey, who will be making his first start of the season.  I look for Ben Roethlisberger to test this match up early and often, leading Brown to finish with two touchdowns for 120 plus yards.

Ben Throws for over 300 yards and Three Touchdowns

As I kind of already mentioned, the Steelers will be facing a secondary with some new faces.  The Ravens’ secondary has struggled at times against the pass this year.  As mentioned, I expect two touchdowns to AB and I see Ben connecting with tight end Jesse James for the third.  Ben’s big 300 yard game will also set up at least one touchdown run by Le’Veon Bell. Here’s another prediction, only one interception thrown by Roethlisberger, if any.

Vince Williams Honors Shazier With Breakout Performance

As we have seen throughout this season linebackers Vince Williams and Ryan Shazier are extremely close.  That was shown in full force on Monday night. As Shazier went down with a tragic injury, you could see the tears coming from Williams.  With the injury to Shazier, it puts Williams as the main man in the middle.  I see Williams being extremely motivated and playing with lots of emotion, finishing with two sacks and leading the team in tackles.

At Least Two Interceptions From Steelers Secondary

Although this secondary has been hit with the injury bug lately, I still see some hope for them in this game.  Joe Flacco has had his struggles this season.  He has thrown for the same amount of interceptions as touchdowns (11).  I believe he finds his touch against the secondary at some points but struggle in the big moments. One prediction that I have is that rookie Cameron Sutton will come in for Coty Sensabaugh and have great game, including his first NFL interception.  As far as the other interception goes, I look for a veteran, such as William Gay, to make a big play in the clutch.

Steelers Win By Two Touchdowns

As I mentioned in introduction, the last game between these two was dominated by the Steelers as they cruised to a 26-9 victory.  However, with playoff hopes on the line for the Ravens, I see this game being different.  I see the Ravens keeping it close all the way down to the fourth quarter, and the Steelers scoring a late touchdown to go up two scores and putting the game away.  This should be a very exciting game to watch!
