Plays of the Year: JuJu Smith-Schuster scores, plays hide-and-seek

Steel City Underground presents “Plays of the Year” featuring the tops runs, catches, hits and everything else in-between for the Steelers 2017 season.

Week 7 of the regular season was the first time an AFC North division opponent, the Cincinnati Bengals, traveled to Heinz Field for the year.

It was also the first time Steelers fans would be graced with seeing Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict in person, as he was suspended for the game in Pittsburgh the year before.

Fans were anxious to see what the Steelers could do. Sitting at 4-2, they had dropped losses to the Chicago Bears on the road and Jacksonville Jaguars at home. Would the Steelers be able to continue their momentum, and carry on the four-game winning streak against Cincy.

Spoiler: they would!

In the Steelers’ second offensive series of the game, JuJu Smith-Schuster lined up in the slot on the right side of the line. Crossing the center of the field, Ben Roethlisberger found him for an easy, wide open pass for 31-yards into the end zone. It gave the Steelers their second touchdown on the day and a seven-point lead over the Bengals with 12:52 left before the half. Smith-Schuster outran the coverage and watched the ball all the way in for the score.

After the play, he and Le’Veon Bell celebrated with an endzone game of hide and seek.
