SCU’s Best NFL Jersey Tournament: Vikings vs. Colts

Welcome to Steel City Underground’s latest March Madness creation: The “Best” NFL Jersey Tournament!

Now I know you’re wondering, just what the heck is this?

Well, during the dead months of the NFL offseason, we honestly don’t have much to talk about… except for college basketball… and since the NCAA March Madness tournament isn’t football, we decided to blend the two after a recent internal debate about which team has the best uniforms!

For those of you visiting this as your first entry into the series: you can catch up on all of the details, including previous match ups and how we determined seeding, by visiting the official SCU’s Best NFL Jersey Tournament page.

Without further adieu, here are today’s contestants:

(3) Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings are another team which made a recent update but largely stuck with tradition in doing so. The new numbers are custom-made and more than befitting of a “viking” while the traditional purple and gold remain the same.

(30) Indianapolis Colts

Now that Cleveland has updated their uniforms, the Colts are one of the last mainstays to resist even the slightest change. They are one of few teams to have a single pants option, which also matches the same color as the top.

It’s time for March Madness in Pittsburgh!

With teams such as Villanova & Duke taking part of NCAA Tournament action at PPG Paints Arena, our pals at TicketIQ.com say ticket demand has surpassed 2012 and 2015. The average price on the secondary market is $197, a 16% increase from 2015’s opening round games at the then CONSOL Energy Center ($170 avg) and a 33% increase from 2012 ($148 avg). The full city-by-city breakdown is available here.

Primesport, the official NCAA Ticket Exchange, still has tickets available for tonight’s games from $75, with Lower Level seating starting just below $100.
