Injuries Continue To Plague Pittsburgh

The injury bug continues to attack the Steelers like a biblical plague of locusts. Relatively healthy heading into the Seattle game (fresh off a bye week) Pittsburgh now faces 2 players in concussion protocol (Ben Roethlisberger and Ryan Shazier) and 2 new injuries: Heath Miller has injured ribs, while it was recently revealed that Mike Mitchell has inflammation in his knee.

While Roethlisberger is reportedly cleared to practice on Wednesday, there is no update on the status of Shazier, Miller or Mitchell for Sunday night’s game against Indianapolis. We will monitor the injury reports coming out of practice this week, and hopefully, the Steelers will not suffer more setbacks this season.

As for the total amount of injuries this season, more players have been added to the ever-growing list we posted about lost time. Matt Spaeth, James Harrison, Shamarko Thomas, and Terence Garvin have been added, or have had additional time added (in the case of Spaeth and Garvin) to the list below.

Here is an updated list of injuries so far this season.
