Potential Steelers targets for day two of the 2018 NFL Draft

Following the first round selection of Virginia Tech safety Terrell Edmunds on Thursday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers focus now shifts to the second and third rounds of the 2018 NFL Draft. Day two will see the Steelers continue to build their roster for the upcoming season. However, will those picks be based on need (linebacker, and now, potentially, wide receiver) or will they obtain the best player available regardless of position?

The following is a list of the top remaining players based on NFL.com senior analyst Gil Brandt’s rankings of the top 150 prospects but filtered to focus on those players whom I feel the Steelers could have an eye on Friday evening.

Things could get interesting, especially if the Steelers double-dip at a position early on, especially with an extra third round pick acquired from the Oakland Raiders. Let’s have a look at some of those players remaining who could hear their name called when the Steelers are on the clock.
