Steelers Throwback Thursday: Joe Haden dives, picks off Baker Mayfield

Steel City Underground presents “Steelers Throwback Thursday” featuring plays from recent seasons which you may have forgotten about! Now we’re “bringing them back!”

It doesn’t seem like too long ago because it wasn’t! Yet, this “Throwback Thursday” seems ever so fitting for today because of Joe Haden’s absolute tear over the last two weeks – and the fact that our previous Throwback Thursday was also a highlight of Joe Haden picking off the current quarterback of his previous team, the Cleveland Browns!

Haden seems to have the advantage over Baker Mayfield. In three games the cornerback has picked him off twice, each coming within the home confines of Heinz Field.

During this huge AFC North division rematch, Joe would get some payback on his former team yet again, this time sealing the Browns fate for a Steelers victory.

Down seven, the Browns had an opportunity to drive and perhaps tie/win the game. However, Mayfield steps back and overthrows his intended target as Haden lays out for the interception.

The Steelers would go into victory formation to close out the final minute of the game with a 20-13 win.
