Plays of the Year: Mike Hilton jars ball loose for spectacular interception by Cam Sutton

Steel City Underground presents “Plays of the Year” featuring the top runs, catches, hits and everything else in-between from the Pittsburgh Steelers 2020 season.

During the Steelers three-game slide after starting the season 11-0, the team took a rough hit scheduling. From a Wednesday afternoon game against the Baltimore Ravens straight to their first loss on Monday Night Football against the Washington Football Team, the Steelers would then take a road trip to play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Footballl.

As they’d drop their second game in a row to the Bills, the Steelers’ offense would sputter with another bad outing – while adding injuries on top of it.

On the bright side, the defense showed up to play as hard as possible: for the most part. The Steelers D performed a magic trick but unfortunately, they did not have enough spell power to help the Steelers win.

In the middle of the second quarter, both teams struggled to move the ball down the field. On a 2nd-and-10 in Buffalo territory, Josh Allen dropped back as the Steelers sent heat up the middle and off of the edge. Allen dumps it down to his tight end, Dawson Knox, who gets completely sandwiched between Marcus Allen and Mike Hilton.

As Knox tries to hang on to the ball, it somehow bounces straight into the air and Cameron Sutton is on the spot and leaps for it to secure the Steelers’ second turnover of the night.

It was a spectacular play by a group effort, but not enough to come away with the “W”.

The bittersweet result of this loss is that the Steelers would officially lock themselves into a playoff spot, despite dropping to 11-2.
