5 Steelers earn game balls in victory over the Broncos

The Pittsburgh Steelers secure their second win of the season with a victory over the Denver Broncos at Heinz Field.

Game balls are usually easier to distribute after a win – and this is the case this week, so let’s hand them out!

Najee Harris

I need to start things off by handing the first game ball to Najee Harris. Harris reached the first 100-yard rushing game of his career. He finished the day with 122 rushing yards, one long run of 20 yards, and one rushing touchdown. Najee Harris also had two receptions (on five targets) for 20 yards.

Chase Claypool

The second game ball goes to Chase Claypool. Claypool had a great day today. He caught five passes (on six targets) for 130 yards and one touchdown. He also had a catch and run of 59 yards that got the offense into the red zone.

Diontae Johnson

I’m going to continue the trend of giving game balls to offensive players with a game ball for Diontae Johnson. Johnson got the Steelers on the board first with a 50-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger. Diontae Johnson finished the day with two receptions (on two targets) for 72 yards and one touchdown.

Minkah Fitzpatrick

It’s now time to give a game ball to the defense. Minkah Fitzpatrick got a game ball because he had ten combined tackles (five solo, five assisted) and one tackle for loss.

James Pierre

The final game ball goes to James Pierre. James Pierre gets a game ball for his interception late in the 4th quarter, which sealed the win for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pierre finished the day with six tackles and two passes defended.
