Steelers linebackers may be their best group in years

Burning questions will be answered in this episode of the Steel City Underground Pittsburgh Steelers Podcast as Joe and Brian have a look at this year’s linebacker group.

The organization attacked a need at the inside linebacker position this offseason by acquiring several players in free agency or the draft. When compared to the last few depth charts, minus Ryan Shazier, hosts Joe and Brian make a case for why the 2019 group may be the strongest the Steelers have had since “Shazam’s” unfortunate injury.

The spotlight then shines on the outside linebackers: the Steelers didn’t make a lot of moves with their edge rushers, but as the hosts explain, maybe they didn’t have to make those moves based on who they have as well as recent additions to the roster.

In all, the linebackers are the lifeblood of the Steelers defense and we’ll see why this year’s personnel may be the best they’ve had in a while. Also, the duo also kicks off the show with a few notes they left out of the running back breakdown… so make sure you don’t miss this episode!
