SCU Madden Sim: Week 13 – Steelers vs Giants

After a week off due to the Holidays (and me dropping the ball) the SCU Madden Simulation returns!

This week the New York Giants visit us here in Pittsburgh. The Steelers haven’t had a real challenge in awhile, so this week is an important game! Though not exactly the most reliable source, lets see how Madden says we’ll do…

Highlights

Punisher With The Pick

Mike Mitchell had a huge game last week versus the Colts. He managed to silence his haters with multiple key stops and an interception. Eli Manning is notorious for throwing picks – he’s bound to throw one to somebody on our defense. With the momentum from his performance last week, Mitchell certainly may have back-to-back games with turnovers.

AB Boomin’

This play is simply vintage Antonio Brown. He beats his man with his route running skills, Ben throws a perfect ball, and Brown hauls it in while dragging his toes to stay in bounds. Considering this weeks game has the potential to be a shoot out, I imagine we will be seeing a lot of catches like this from Brown.

Eli Tip Drill: Part Two

Eli Rogers scored a fortunate touchdown early in a year when a ball deflected off of Sammie Coates. According to Madden we’ll be seeing another tipped touchdown again! Though his season has been hampered by injuries and a brief stay in Tomlin’s doghouse, Rogers has shown that he has big play ability. As we enter the final weeks of the season we certainly may see Rogers step up and make more plays on the field.

Tuitt Tackles Manning

Strangely, Stephon Tuitt seems to have began his breakout season following Cam Heyward being placed on injured reserve. He’s been consistently disruptive in recent weeks and has at times been the best player on the field. This defense hasn’t faced a legitimate challenge in recent weeks and Tuitt will need to show up in order to stop Eli.

Mitchell Makes Another Play

Another Mitchell interception? Nice!
