Mike Mitchell continues a long line of hard-hitting Steelers safeties and will presumably do so headed into the near future. Signed through the 2018 season, Mitchell will once again assume the starting free safety position for the Steelers, one he took over for Ryan Clark when the former arrived in Pittsburgh back in 2014.

Mitchell embodies the tough, hard-working characteristics found in Steelers defenders and has seemingly embraced the team and its culture over the last three years. He is a fun and exciting player that we’re looking forward to watching in 2017.
