Running the Numbers: What to look for when the Steelers play the Ravens

  • The Steelers look to improve to 24-20 all-time against the Ravens in regular-season history and to 14-8 at home against Baltimore.

  • The Steelers look to extend their current win streak to eight with a win on Sunday night.
  • With a win, the Steelers will have won each of their previous six games in the month of December, dating back to Dec. 4, 2016 vs. NY Giants.
  • With a win, the Steelers will have won each of their previous nine home games in the month of December, dating back to Dec. 15, 2013 vs. Cincinnati.

Head Coach Mike Tomlin

  • A win would improve Tomlin to 114-59 during the regular season (64-22 at home).
  • With a win, would move to 85-44 in regular-season games vs. AFC (47-17 at home).
  • Looks to improve to 11-11 in his regular-season Steelers tenure against the Ravens and to 7-4 at home.
  • With a win, would improve to 36-16 overall in regular-season primetime games and to 17-8 on Sunday Night Football (9-4 at home on Sunday Night Football).
  • With a win, would improve to 31-13 in the month of December and to 20-6 at home during the month.

Ben Roethlisberger

  • With a win, would improve to 134-62 as a starter during the regular season and to 74-23 at home.
  • With a win, would improve to 12-8 vs. Baltimore in the regular season as a starter and to 9-2 at home vs. the Ravens.
  • With a win, will move to 40-16 in regular-season primetime games, including 21-13 at home under the lights (9-3 on Sunday Night Football at Heinz Field).

Le’Veon Bell

  • Will tie Terry Bradshaw (32) for the fourth-most rushing touchdowns in franchise history with his next rushing score.
  • Is 277 rushing yards from surpassing Willie Parker (5,378) for the third most in Steelers history.

Antonio Brown

  • Will increase his Steelers record for the most 100-yard receiving games in team history to 37 with his next 100-yard game.
  • Needs one touchdown to break a tie with John Stallworth (64) for sole possession of the fourth-most total touchdowns by a Steeler in team history (rushing+receiving+returning).
  • Is four touchdown catches from tying John Stallworth (63) for the second-most in franchise history.
  • Needs 208 yards from scrimmage to join Franco Harris, Hines Ward and Jerome Bettis as the only players in Steelers history with at least 10,000 scrimmage yards.
  • With 100 catches in 2017, will become the first player in NFL history to record 100 or more receptions in five consecutive years.

Cameron Heyward

  • Will extend his single-season career-high in sacks with his next quarterback takedown (9.0 in 2017).
  • Is one sack shy of recording 1.0 in 2017 to mark the 19th time a Steeler defender has totaled at least 10.0 sacks in a single-season since sacks became an official statistic in 1982 and become the first since 2010 (James Harrison: 10.5 and LaMarr Woodley: 10.0).

James Harrison

  • Is 2.5 sacks from 85.0 in his NFL career.

Vince Williams

  • Will set a single-season career-high with his next tackle (53 in 2013 and 2017).

William Gay

  • Will break a tie with Rod Woodson to set the record for the most interceptions returned for touchdowns in team history with his next pick six of six.

Chris Boswell

  • Is two field goals shy of setting a new single-season career high (29 in 2015).
  • Will surpass Kris Brown (80) for the sixth-most field goals made in Steelers history with three.
