Mike Hilton is the TSE “Total Impact” Player of the Week

For each game of the Pittsburgh Steelers 2017 regular season, Steel City Underground in conjunction with Total Sports Enterprises (TSE) will award a virtual game ball, the “TSE Total Impact Award”, to one standout performer or performance.

On ESPN’s lead-in show for the second game on Christmas Day, former NFL coach and current analyst Rex Ryan didn’t know who Mike Hilton was.

He redeemed himself by also mentioning that the Houston Texans didn’t either!

The undrafted slot cornerback has made an impact with the Steelers this season, playing roughly 2/3 of each game and becoming a fast, and vital, chess piece in defensive coordinator Keith Butler‘s blitz schemes.

So much so is Hilton’s talent, that he broke through with a huge game on Christmas Day in a 34-6 victory over the Houston Texans. Hilton was a menace to the opposition, registering three sacks and a forced fumble on only six tackles! Those three tackles for loss moved the Texans back 28 yards as well.

Hilton’s day was so monumental, that he was the clear choice for this week’s game ball recipient.
