NFL Draft Day 2 targets for the Pittsburgh Steelers

Are you not entertained!?!?

The Steelers saw their target, locked on, made the moved and acquired him. All of Steeler nation should be satisfied with adding Devin Bush Jr. Now what about Day 2? The landscape looks a little different without the 52nd pick, but let’s take a look at some guys we could target on Day 2.

First, we have some bigger names that many felt would go Round 1 that are still on the board. S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, CB’s Greedy Williams and  Byron Murphy, and OT Jawaan Taylor. Still with 8 more picks this season, it’s entirely possible if these athletes continue to fall that you see the Steelers make another move. Most notably on that list are the defensive backs. Keep an eye as they continue to fall.

If we aren’t looking at moving back up in to round 2, we are still sitting pretty at 66 and 83.

66 is the second pick in the third round and is still a high pick. After that you have our original pick of 83 later on in the third round. Steelers obviously still have a couple positions they could look to fill. Let’s take a look at those positions and some names to keep an eye on for Day 2.

At cornerback you are looking at potential targets of:

Rock Ya-Sin, Julian Love, Sean Bunting, Trayvon Mullen and Justin Layne.

At safety…

You have Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

Edge Rushers:

Chase Winovich, Charles Omenihu and Ben Banogu.

Tight Ends include:

Irv Smith Jr., Jace Sternberger, Foster Moreau, and Josh Oliver.

Wide Recievers are aplenty on Day 2

Lleading the pack are mock draft favorites:  Miles Boykin and David Sills V.

Don’t forget Deebo Samuel, A.J. Brown, Andy Isabella, Dillon Mitchell, and Gary Jennings either.

And one other position…

Lastly, a position that shocked many people that the Steelers showed so much interest: running back. As early as 66 you could have Miles Sanders or Darrell Henderson. Or at 83 you could look towards Justice Hill, Damien Harris, or Mike Weber.

If I were to make a prediction, I’m looking at secondary and wideout for your two picks. Targeting Julian Love and David Sills V May be your best options.
