Plays of the Year: James Conner won’t be denied a rushing touchdown

Steel City Underground presents “Plays of the Year” featuring the tops runs, catches, hits and everything else in-between from the Pittsburgh Steelers 2018 season.

A low spot of the 2018 occurred when the Steelers fell behind fast and early to the Kansas City Chiefs in their home opener at Heinz Field during Week 2 of the regular season.

After falling behind early by 21 points Pittsburgh Steelers rallied to tie the football game and looked to keep pace with the Kansas City Chiefs in hopes of a victory.

Second-year running back James Conner helped maintain that momentum with this play, answering KC’s score to open the second half.

Connor knotted the game once again, this time to tie it at 28-all. His strength and tenacity would prove to be vital all season, on his way to earning Pro Bowl honors.

Unfortunately the Steelers would not be able to keep piling on points and would fall to the Chiefs by a final score of 42 to 37.
