Watch: Minkah Fitzpatrick performs his magic on Mayfield for a pick-six

After a quiet start to the season, the sleeping lion pounced on the prey known as Baker Mayfield, re-assuring his dominance since joining the Steelers. He answers the haters with an early, in the clutch interception that set the tone for the rest of the game.

It did not take long for the Steelers defense to show why they are the leagues best. On the first 3rd down of the game for Cleveland, Baker drops back to throw to attempt the conversion. Pittsburgh is in cover 1 with Fitzpatrick as the “robber.” As the ball is snapped, Minkah Fitzpatrick creeps down into the middle of the field in a zone and baits Mayfield into his first pick of the day. Once the ball was thrown it was a race to the end zone as Minkah strolls in and through the tunnel to put the Steelers up 10-0.

What can I say? This defense was lights out on Sunday. I actually was debating on what was the best defensive play because everybody made their mark. This was a day that proved all of the doubters wrong about this team. All of the media saying “All your wins came from teams with a losing record” have to change their tune.

From what I saw, this team is hot and they are out for blood.

Now the true test is in several days against the undefeated Titans, and that is a game that I will not miss.
