Although the Pittsburgh Steelers were outmatched by their errors and an Arizona Cardinals team found rhythm despite two game delays due to torrential December rain, there were some positive moments in the 24-10 loss at Acrisure Stadium in NFL Week 13.

Down 24-3, the Steelers didn’t give up in the fourth quarter. In ten plays, Mitch Trubisky – who replaced injured Kenny Pickett – led the offense down the field 75 yards for a touchdown.

A Jaylen Warren run got the Steelers to the two-yard line. Trubisky took the second-and-goal snap and threw a dime to the perfect spot in the end zone. Receiver Diontae Johnson, in tight coverage, turned as the ball arrived and secured it as he dragged his toes across the turf while the defender made the tackle. The play allowed Pittsburgh to close the scoring gap to two touchdowns.

Johnson caught four passes for 33 yards and the touchdown in the contest, behind just George Pickens who had four receptions for 86 yards in a game that once again saw the Steelers offense struggle to execute.

Trubisky completed 11-of-17 passes for 117 yards in the game.
