Steel City Underground hand selects the Steelers Hit(s) of the Week, a bigtime play that shook the opponents, following every game of the 2025 NFL regular season for fans to relive.
The Pittsburgh Steelers were minus a few defensive players during their primetime Monday Night Football game against the Miami Dolphins in NFL Week 15, but they didn’t blink much. The Steelers, who won 28-15, were still able to sack Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa four times in the game.
In our postgame takeaways, we talked in-depth about the Steelers’ performance and improved play – including the four sacks. We didn’t talk about the way Jalen Ramsey went unseen and untouched on a play that saw him stalk-down Tagovailoa for a big sack.
In the third quarter, the Dolphins offense took the field down 14-3. After a no-gain run by De’Von Achane, Tagovailoa hit Alec Ingold for a short dump-off pass for 4 yards. On 3rd & 6 at the MIA 44, Tagovailoa received the snap from shotgun and the Steelers pass rush was on.
Ramsey shot through a gap created by linebacker Payton Wilson and got reacquainted with the Miami quarterback and former teammate by knocking him to the turf for a sack and loss of 12 yards.
The Dolphins were forced the punt the ball and the Steelers offense then orchestrated a 10-play, 77-yard touchdown drive to go up 21-3.
Here are all four Steelers sacks from the game, including Ramsey’s:
