Late breakdowns cost Steelers in Thursday night shootout
The Steelers dropped a heartbreaker in Cincinnati, falling 33–31 to the Bengals in a Thursday Night Football shootout that exposed cracks on both sides of the ball.
Despite a classic Aaron Rodgers performance, including a late touchdown strike to Pat Freiermuth that gave Pittsburgh a brief lead with just over two minutes remaining, the Steelers still fell as costly interceptions and a defense that couldn’t contain Joe Flacco or Ja’Marr Chase proved too much to overcome.
