SCU’s 2017 NFL Pick’em: Week 8

Each week a panel of SCU contributors will pick their winners and losers. Let’s see who does the best by the end of the season!

What another wild and crazy week in the NFL! Last week, our panel thought that the Chiefs would bounce back after their first loss of the season and beat the Raiders. It nearly happened if not for some wild, last-minute penalties that kept the game going like a Buffalo Wild Wings commercial.

In other games, I can proudly say my upset special of the Bears over the Panthers was on the money: and that I was the only one to hit the mark. However, Mike Drakulich pulled away with the top spot, gaining more ground with a great week worth of picks.

Carson Palmer broke his arm and destroyed any hope for those picking the Cardinals over the Rams. The Jets went back to mediocrity losing to the Dolphins, even without QB Jay Cutler (who injured his ribs during the game).

There were still a few who felt that the Packers could win without Aaron Rodgers, that the Ravens had hope against the Vikings, and the 49ers might win a game: they were all wrong.

And of course, the Cleveland Browns are becoming the easiest target in the Pick ‘Em. Hopefully, no one has them in the survivor pool!
